Nonobese Population in A Developing Country Has A High Prevalence of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver and Significant Liver Disease

Abstract

There is a significant prevalence of NAFL and potentially significant liver disease, including cryptogenic cirrhosis, in this predominantly nonobese, nonaffluent population in a developing country. NAFL will be a major determinant of future liver disease burden in countries of the developing world.
