Parton distributions for the pion extracted from Drell-Yan and prompt photon experiments

Abstract

We determine the parton distributions of the pion from a consistent next-to-leading-order analysis of several high-statistics ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}N$ experiments including both Drell-Yan and prompt photon production.
