Permeation through plastic films

Abstract

Abstract Data are presented on the solubility in and permeation through polyolefin films of a number of gases and liquids. The permeation rates are found to be dependent on the type of film, the concentration and the temperature. A classical diffusion model explains the permeation mechanism and other relations serve to correlate the data.
