Total hip arthroplasty in Denmark

Abstract

The overall annual standardized IRs of primary THAs and revisions in Denmark increased during the period from 1996 to 2002. Moreover, the demands for THA procedures in the coming decades may exceed the current capacity due to the ageing population and a continued age and sex-independent increase in surgical activity.
