Generalized Impedance-Based Fault Location for Distribution Systems

Abstract

A generalized one-end impedance-based fault-location method suitable for distribution systems is presented in this letter. The multiple-estimation problem, which is one of the main drawbacks of the one-end impedance-based algorithms, is solved in this method.
