Design of a broadband reflectarray using meander‐shaped elements

Abstract

Abstract A novel cell element, the combination of meander‐shaped rectangle and ring, is presented for reflectarray. The feature of the cell element is investigated along with the design of the feed and array. A 52‐element array prototype based on the proposed element has been fabricated and measured showing good results over a 26% 1‐dB gain bandwidth. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
