Abstract

Abstract Plastically deformed Fe 30.5 at.° Al alloys, in the B2 long-range ordered state, have been studied by the ‘weak-beam’ electron microscope technique, using super-lattice reflections. Long narrow defects along 〈111〉 directions have been observed, which have been identified as antiphase domain boundary tubes, whose existence was first postulated by Vidoz and Brown (1962) and Vasilyev and Orlov (1963).
