Abstract

Since the existence of the trineutron would be very important in the understanding of the few-nucleon problem, a search for the trineutron in the reaction $\mathrm{T}(n, p){n}^{3}$ with 20.8-MeV neutrons has been made. No evidence for the existence of the trineutron was found.
