The drift kinetic equation for toroidal plasmas with large mass velocities

Abstract

The authors make a study of neoclassical transport in the toroidal plasma Z-pinch. A drift-kinetic equation is derived which is accurate to first order in the ratio of the Larmor radius to a characteristic length and in which the plasma mass velocity is assumed to be of zeroth order.
