Abstract

In a baby with polyarteritis nodosa, only the coronary arteries were involved. All lesions were in the late reparative stage, with multipleaneurysm formation. In similar cases, these lesions have been thought to be congenital aneurysms or aneurysms of uncertain etiology. Our patient suddenly developed Stokes-Adams seizures and died several months after clinically apparent recovery. Findings from a thorough examination of the cardiac conduction system provided an excellent clinicopathological correlation.
