Sixty percent of functional dyspepsia subjects had either slow GE or abnormal EGG. Patients with abnormal EGG were more likely to have slow GE. EGG abnormalities were associated with more severe postprandial pain and should be considered a possible mechanism for dyspeptic symptoms.
