Abstract

Typhoid fever and rose spots occurred in a 29-year-old white man. The etiology of the asymptomatic, rose-red, 2- to 4-mm skin lesions remains conjectural. The clinician is reminded of this still useful diagnostic cutaneous sign in typhoid fever.
