Abstract

In a series of experiments, self‐report items for the measurement of eye, foot and ear preference were validated against individual behavioural measures. Test‐retest reliabilities were obtained over a one‐year period for eyedness, handedness and footedness self‐report items. These data indicate that a questionnaire is a valid and reliable method for the assessment of various forms of lateral preference.
