Abstract The design of a reconfigurable Yagi antenna that can operate at two frequencies, 2.4 GHz and 5.78 GHz, for use in wireless communications is presented. The Yagi can be reconfigured through the use of appropriate switches placed on the elements of the antenna. This paper shows the feasibility of this antenna and presents simulated and measured results at the two frequencies. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
