Appraisal of electroconversion in treatment of cardiac dysrhythmias.

Abstract

An analysis of the indications, results, and complications of the method is presented below; this is based on obser- vations that have been made on 220 consecutive patients with atrial and ventricular dysrhythmias which were associated with a wide variety of under- lying heart disease, and treated by direct-current shock.
