An analysis of data of pions emitted from ultra-relativistic nuclear interactions initiated by 16O − AgBr at 60 GeV/nucleon and 32S − AgBr at 200 GeV/nucleon reveals the existence of emission asymmetry in the azimuthal plane which is found to depend on the number of pions but to be nearly independent of projectile mass and energy.
