Abstract

The intensity of the continuous inelastic light scattering from a silver electrode in a Cl${\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ electrolyte depends on the potential and the amount of redeposited silver. These experimental observations are consistently explained by the concentration of silver adatoms at the electrode surface.
