Abstract

The basic purpose of this paper is to describe and discuss PDECOL, which is a new computer software package for numerically solving coupled systems of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDE's) in one space and one time dimension. The package implements finite element collocation methods based on piecewise polynomials for the spatial discretization techniques.
