Elastic Scattering of Alpha Particles from Helium

The scattering of alpha particles from ${\mathrm{He}}^{4}$ has been studied for laboratory energies between 3.8 and 12 MeV. Ten angular distributions have been measured over this range of energies as well as excitation curves at the center-of-mass angles 30.6\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 40\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 54.8\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 70.2\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, and 90\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. A phase-shift analysis of these data has been made and is compared to previously published results.
