Novel Design Technique for Radial Power Combiners

Abstract

This paper describes a simple design technique to develop Radial Power Combiners used in Solid State Transmitters to combine the power of a large numbers of amplifiers. A general analysis of this type of structure is presented and a equivalent circuit as well. An S band 32 ports Radial Combiner was designed, simulated and manufactured for validating the proposed design technique. Performance and simulation data will be presented.
