Some aspects of torque calculations in electrical machines

Abstract

Torque calculations are performed using both the Maxwell stress and virtual work methods for an induction motor in a variety of studies. The dependence upon the mesh, Maxwell stress path taken, rotor angular position and time instant are each evaluated individually.
