Proton form factors in the hypercentral constituent quark model

Abstract

We have calculated the ratio between the charge and magnetic form factors of the proton, making use of the hypercentral constituent quark model with relativistic corrections. The parameters of the model have been fixed in order to reproduce the baryon spectrum. The predicted values of this ratio are compared with the recent experimental results.
