Chronic inflammatory cells and damaged limbal cells in pterygium

Abstract

Mild chronic inflammation has a tendency to be more frequent than severe inflammation in pterygia. It is clear that damaged limbal basal epithelial cells are unlikely to be related to pterygium occurrence.
