Abstract

A scanning transmission x-ray microscope has been used to form images with 380-eV x rays on the undulator beamline at the Daresbury synchrotron radiation source. A resolution of 80 nm has been achieved using Fresnel zone-plate focusing optics and images with reasonable signal-to-noise ratios can be acquired in less than 30 min.
