Polymer-supported polymerization catalystsvia romp

Abstract

Recent developments in the synthesis of heterogeneous catalytic supports are reported. In combination with grafting and precipitation polymerization techniques, ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) has been applied to the synthesis of surface-functionalized inorganic and organic supports. Applications of these well-defined heterogeneous catalytic supports in C-C coupling reactions (Heck couplings) as well as in atom-transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) are reported.
