The possibility of the removal of adsorbed cesium ions from the surface of a hardened cement mortar via the electrokinetic method in the presence of a chelating agent (Trilon B) is studied. It is shown that the combination of electrokinetic treatment and the action of a chelating agent makes it possible to considerably enhance the efficiency of the removal of a contaminant relative to the separate application of these factors.
