Abstract The single crystal structures of [Cd(py)2{Ag(CN)2}2]• C6H6 and [Cd{Ag(CN)2}3]• G [G = K(15-crown-5)2• 2C6H6 or Rb(15-crown-5)2• 2PhMe] determined in this work demonstrate the novel supramolecular features of not only the Ag(CN)2-bridged host structures but also mode of the guest accommodation.
