Oligophenylene Rods: A Repetitive Approach

Abstract

Abstract The concept of repetitive synthesis was successfully applied to oligophenylenes. A series of monodisperse rigid‐rods with up to 16 phenylene rings and with defined functional groups at both termini was prepared using the Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction.
