ABSTRACT CORN was grown for silage and grain on erosion plots and small watersheds at Holly Springs, Missis-sippi. No-till and reduced-till systems consistently had lower rates of erosion than conventional tillage. The average annual soil loss for plots in conventional-till corn for grain was about 22 times greater than that for no-till grain plots. Crop yields from the no-till and reduced-till systems compared favorably with those from conven-tional tillage.
