The proton-proton rotation parameter $R$ has been measured at a laboratory energy of 140.5 Mev over a range of scattering angles ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{2}$ by means of a triple-scattering experiment. The following values were obtained: ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{2}(\mathrm{lab})=15\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, \ensuremath{-}0.252\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.030; 20\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, \ensuremath{-}0.227\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.028; 25\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, \ensuremath{-}0.271\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.035; 30\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, \ensuremath{-}0.146\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.037; 35\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, \ensuremath{-}0.151\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.055;40\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, \ensuremath{-}0.047\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.080$.
