At the 5th and 4th millenium BC, in a Chassean context, the distribution of Bedoulian flint of Haute-Provence (Lower Cretaceous), extents impressively and is considered as an absolutely original phenomenon. The lithic assemblages are mainly composed of products made from this raw material being exported. But if numerous studies dealing with consumer sites have been undergone these last years, the production environment is still totally misunderstood. Recent discoveries in the production area give a new impetus to research on this essential subject for a better understanding of Chassean communities. The approach of two new production sites, Les Trois Termes (Gordes) and Rocalibert (Piolenc) gives the opportunity to study the increasing specializations and the context of production during the Chassean.
