Copper(I) Isocyanide Complexes of Highly Fluorinated Poly(pyrazolyl)borates

Abstract

Treatment of a mixture of CuOTf and ButNC with [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]K·DMAC or [H2B(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)2]K in thf affords [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]CuCNBut, 1, or {[H2B(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)2]CuCNBut}2, 2; compound 2 shows a novel mode of bonding for a bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligand.
