Abstract According to a classic process of Sénarmont, the values of heat conductivity in the parallel and the horizontal stretch directions may be determined if the absolute value for the isotropic condition is known. Changes of stretch speed and stretch temperature in the range above the freezing temperature determine essentially the anisotropy attained. By careful deductions a deformation mechanism of the network is deduced. The relationships which were found here and in connection with other anisotropic properties permit a statement concerning the anisotropy of segments.
