Ureaplasma urealyticum and pulmonary outcome in a neonatal intensive care population

Abstract

Isolation of U. urealyticum from respiratory tracts is associated with radiographic changes compatible with pneumonia within 7 days of birth, precocious bronchopulmonary dysplasia and severe pulmonary outcome.
