Predictors and outcome of cervical anastomotic leakage after esophageal cancer surgery

Abstract

Preoperative conditions like hypertension and higher creatinine levels predict development of cervical anastomotic leakage after esophageal cancer surgery. Postoperative consequences accompanying leakage include pulmonary complication and prolonged hospitalization.
