Pressure and temperature dependence of the dielectric properties and phase transitions of the ferroelectric Pb5Ge3O11

The ferroelectric to para-electric phase transition in Pb5Ge3O11 has been induced with hydrostatic pressure. The pressure coefficient of the transition temperature, Tc, dTc/dp has been shown to be -15.5°C/kbar. The effects of temperature and pressure on the dielectric properties have been measured and some parameters of the phase transitions evaluated from these data.
