Abstract

Communication: Anodic electroprecipitation has been used to deposit thin films of cobalt oxide onto transparent, conducting glass substrates. The electrochromic effect, a reversible color change promoted by an electrochemical reaction, is demonstrated in the films making them of interest, as with WO 3 , V 2 O 5 and other transition‐metal oxides, for application in dynamic, optically controlled devices.
