Abstract Polarographic investigation of uranyl complexes with potentially bidentate α-, β-, and γ-amino acids have been carried out. The polarographic behaviour of these complexes as a function of pH and ligand concentration has revealed the nature of binding to be unidentate carboxylate coordination in the complexes. The amino group is not involved in coordination. The relative stabilities of α-, β-, and γ-amino acid complexes are discussed.
