Long-Term Cognitive Outcome of Delirium in Elderly Hip Surgery Patients

Abstract

The risk of dementia or MCI at follow-up is almost doubled in elderly hip surgery patients with postoperative delirium compared with at-risk patients without delirium. Delirium may indicate underlying dementia.
