This time of peak immunological activity is also likely to be the time when plasma concentrations of therapeutically administered immuno- suppressive drugs are at a minimum.Circadian variations in immune response have not been emphasised but have implications for the understanding, assessment, and treat- ment of many diseases. There is clearly a need to consider standardisa- tion of tests for immune responses according to the time of day.
