Parental Auricular Acupuncture as an Adjunct for Parental Presence during Induction of Anesthesia

Abstract

: Auricular acupuncture significantly decreased maternal anxiety during the preoperative period. Children of mothers who underwent acupuncture intervention benefitted from the reduction of maternal anxiety during the induction of anesthesia.
