Tensile tests are applied on fabric in seven directions oriented with 15° increment with respect to the warp direction. These tests are carried out with articulated jaws to ensure their homogeneity. In addition to measuring the stress and displacement fields, a strain optic analysis by videos acquisition and processing is implemented. An analysis of the anisotropy and degree of homogeneity of the strain fields is presented. A linear elastic orthotropic model is identified on a particular zone of the tensile curves. A numerical analysis by finite elements method has been carried out and compared with experimental results.
