Unstimulated salivary flow rate, pH and buffer capacity of saliva in healthy volunteers

Abstract

In healthy volunteers, salivary flow rate depends on age and gender, and correlates with buffer capacity. Obesity, smoking, and alcohol use do not influence salivary secretion.
