Abstract

Because diagnosis of child abuse has been a difficult step, procedures for a team-diagnosis approach are suggested. Sources of information about the family, planning for the future protection of the child, coordination of various professional services to the family, and the role of the professional person as an “external superego” for the parents are discussed.
