Decreased Maternal Plasma Apelin Concentrations in Preeclampsia

Abstract

Reduced circulating apelin peptides may be associated with preeclampsia. The apelinergic system should be further investigated to elucidate its role in preclampsia and other hypertensive maternal disorders.
