Temperature dependence of s*ca phase electric field behavior as evidenced by polarization current and dielectric measurements

Abstract We present simultaneous polarization current and dielectric measurements in the S*, phase of the homologous n = 9 of a benzoate series. Two different behaviors are evidenced as a function of temperature (near the SA-S*cU phase transition and near the S*-S*, phase tran-sition) and attributed to temperature evolution of the S*ca phase structure. The results are compared with those previously obtained for the homologous n = 11.
