Relationship of tumor grade to other pathologic features and to treatment outcome of patients with early stage breast carcinoma treated with breast-conserving therapy

Abstract

Higher histologic grade predicted an increased incidence of distant recurrence, but not a greater likelihood of axillary lymph node metastases or local recurrence after breast-conserving therapy. The authors conclude that grade should not be used to make decisions regarding local management.
