Design of a compact frequency-notched UWB slot antenna

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a frequency-notched ultra-wideband (UWB) slot antenna. The proposed antenna can cover the entire UWB band and the IEEE 802.11a frequency band can be notched out by inserting a hat-shaped slot into the antenna. The path loss |S21| and group delay are measured and discussed. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
