Amino Acid-Induced Thermogenesis Reduces Hypothermia During Anesthesia and Shortens Hospital Stay

Abstract

Amino acid infusion during general anesthesia induces thermogenesis and prevents postoperative hypothermia and shivering. Multiple regression analysis indicated that this resulted in a shorter hospital stay.
