Abstract

The dielectric constants and losses of a series of aromatic molecules containing methoxy groups have been measured at 2.2-mm wavelength in the liquid state at various temperatures between 20° and 80°. The results, together with existing lower-frequency data, are used for an expansion of the complex reduced dielectric constant in a series of terms of the Debye type. The effect of molecular and liquid structure, and temperature on the parameters obtained is discussed.
